Nervous about the level of the water over the road …?

The Environment Agency has a monitoring station at ‘Walthamstow Low Hall’ and provides real time online updates. I assume it must be measuring the level of the flood relief channel across the road, based on the location shown on the online map of monitoring stations. For a realtime update follow this link:-
Environment Agency – River Level Lee (Lower) at Walthamstow, Low Hall.

They also provide a free flood line service, where they send a text message if there’s a risk of flooding in the area.

What’s happening locally over the holiday period?

Are there any events, entertainment or live music on within walking (staggering) distance?

Pubs and Gigs:

  • It’s business as usual at the Coppermill. Nothing interesting happening at the newly revamped Cock Tavern. The Chequers is still to re-open. The Standard remains shut … It’s all looking pretty grim down our end over the holidays.  You could check with the Walthamstow Scene site ove the holidays to keep updated.

If you know of any interesting events happening in the local area please post a message and I’ll keep this section updated.

In the meantime, here are some images of snowy winters on the street.
