What’s happening this weekend…

As well as all the on-going events on the E17 Arts Trail up until 16th September, here’s a few other things that might be of interest:-

  • There are numerous free events over the weekend at the  Annual Thames Festival at locations all along the river, mostly between Tower Bridge and Westminster Bridge.
  • While it appears there’s no more paralympic events on Victoria Park, there’s still free stuff going on at Trafalgar Square according to the BT London Live site.
  • The Paralympic Closing Ceremony is on Sunday, starting at 7.30pm. It’ll be the last chance for us all to dash out of our houses to see the fireworks. I’d imagine the best pubs round here that you might have a good chance of watching the fireworks from (in the beer garden) could be the Princess of Wales, or maybe the Hare and Hounds, both on Lea Bridge Road. They’re playing the closing ceremony on the big screen on the high street.
  • As usual, you can find out about live bands playing in London over the weekend by using the London Gigs site.
